YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps
Fun! Fun! Fun! As an existing client of ours, the recent revamp of the hayowentha.org Web site provided us with an opportunity to integrate a lot of really great features that will enable campers across the world to keep in touch, share their experiences, register for camp or make financial contributions online.
The new features of this site that make this site unique include:
- Alumni Database - This is a custom application written for hayowentha.org that gives past Hayo-Went-Ha campers around the world access to reconnect with their fellow alum. As a registered alumni, they have the ability to update their personal information, including images, as well as search for friends and fellow campers by years attended and/or camp attended.
- Online Donation Form - The new site also features an online donation form for visitors to easily make their contributions to many of the YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps.
- Newsletter Database - This application was integrated with the new Web site to allow the site administrators to post their latest news and create a link to the home page under "In the News" to directly link those visitors to that article.
- E-Card Application - This is a user managed application that allows the administrators of hayowentha.org the ability to upload images of the camp for visitors to select and send to their friends and family.
In addition to the design, many of their existing applications went through an upgrade process as well. These included:
- New Gaslight Media Toolbox with a "Quick Links" feature for displaying headlines on the home page;
- Enhanced photo gallery for better management of all of their images online;
- Updated contacts database with HTML Newsletter feature;
- Online payment form where campers and parents of campers can make additional payments to their account at YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps.
